Dry ginger botanically stands for Zingiber officinale.

Dry ginger originated in Indian subcontinent and Malaysia. Widely cultivated in countries like Sierra Leone, Jamaica, Japan, South China and Nigeria, Dry ginger is exported and supplied all around the world. India produced 18,45,564 tonnes of dry ginger in the year 2018-19 and Assam was the biggest contributor producing astoundingly 1,79,050 tonnes.
